| Toddlers' attention span is short, so sitting for a 'class' isn't what they want to do. One thing they DO like to do is play, so we try to make the most of their play time. We read and sing daily. The more words a toddler hears, the more he/she learns. Even if he/she isn't talking yet, they are listening and absorbing. Toddlers love to watch (and learn) from the older children too. Your toddler will have the opportunity to work with many textiles. We work on: LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT LARGE/SMALL MOTOR SKILLS HAND-EYE COORDINATION SENSORY ACTIVITIES CAUSE AND EFFECT SHAPES COLORS COUNTING ABCs THE WORLD AROUND THEM Even though they may not quite be ready to point out a specific color, number, etc, we are building a foundation to grow on. They are absorbing more than you may realize. Before you know it, your child will be pointing out or repeating colors, shapes, numbers and more! Because toddlers usually put everything in their mouths, we only use non-toxic products. Your child's safety is of my utmost concern. They are always monitored and treated tenderly while getting lots of hugs and kisses! |
